Homemade Hair Masks To Tackle Frizzy Hair!

1. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is a saviour, whether it concerns taming your hair or maintaining healthy skin. Aloe Vera is considered to be one of the excellent ingredients for moisturizing. Combine it with coconut or olive oil and it can act as a protective layer over your hair cuticle that lessens moisture loss, especially during monsoons, making your hair soft, smooth, and shiny. 

What You Need?

  1. Aloe vera gel
  2. Olive oil


  1. Mix Aloe gel + olive/coconut oil.
  2. Apply the mixture to your scalp and through the length of your hair.
  3. Leave it in for 20-30 minutes and then wash off with shampoo and don’t forget to condition.

2. Avocado Mask

Avocado is rich in vitamin B and E which is known to nourish the hair and repair damage. Using an avocado-based hair mask with yogurt is an inexpensive but effective remedy to control frizz and condition your hair. 

What You Need?

  1. Ripe Avocado
  2. Yogurt


  1. Cut the avocado and remove the pit.
  2. Mix avocado + yogurt to get a smooth, creamy paste.
  3. Apply it to your hair and let it sit for 40-45 minutes.
  4. Wash thoroughly with shampoo and follow it up with your conditioner.

3. Lemon & Honey

Lemon is rich in vitamin C which helps boost hair growth and aids natural radiance while the honey steals moisture in your hair, keeping it conditioned. The mask removes dirt and grime from the hair shaft which improves cuticle health; reducing frizz.

What You Need?

  1. Lemon Juice
  2. Honey
  3. Water


  1. Combine lemon juice + honey + water and pour it through freshly washed hair.
  2. Massage your scalp for a couple of minutes and then let the mixture sit for an additional 10 minutes.
  3. Rinse with lukewarm water and shampoo.

4. Banana 

Bananas are great for hair conditioning, especially when it is mixed with honey which is a well-known humectant. 

What You Need?

  1. Banana
  2. Honey
  3. Coconut oil/Almond oil


  1. Mash the banana (make sure there are no lumps)
  2. Add banana mash + honey + oil to form a smooth paste.
  3. Apply the mixture all over your scalp and hair, and leave it on for 20-25 minutes.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with shampoo and use conditioner.

5. Aloe Vera, Eggs, Olive Oil 

Yes, Aloe Vera is used again in another mixture we are about to talk about below. Apart from its moisturizing benefits, Aloe Vera acts as a great strengthening agent for your hair as well. Make the most of it by teaming it with olive oil to replenish dull hair. Application

What You Need?

  1. Aloe Vera
  2. Olive Oil
  3. Egg


  1. Add egg yolk + Aloe Vera in a bowl.
  2. Heat olive oil for 10 seconds.
  3. Mix hot olive oil with egg yolk and Aloe Vera.
  4. Apply all over your hair, starting from the roots.
  5. Leave it on for 30 minutes and rinse with cold water.

P.S Make sure to apply either of these conditioning hair masks at least once or twice a week for excellent results.
